Bizios Estate is the result of the hard work of Elias Bizios, a second-generation winemaker, and his passion and dedication towards vines and wines. With vineyards at altitudes of 850m, in the village of Asprokambos, his estate sits at the highest point of Nemea. It is small but enjoys the best terroir in the region. Asprokampos is known to the locals as “Little Tuscany”. When you visit there, you can see why; rolling hills littered by cypress trees. It’s simply magical. At this altitude night-time temperatures are cool resulting in wines with wonderful purity of fruit and firm, age-worthy structure.
Elia’s aim is to create wines of the highest quality whilst maintaining respect for the environment and its biodiversity. He makes authentic and honest wines that truly express the terroir from which they emanate by utilising a combination of traditional techniques with modern technology. He picks his organically grown grapes from vineyards with low output per acre to achieve the best possible concentration of varietal characteristics.
