Georgia is one of the oldest wine regions in the world making wine for at least 8000 years. Its ancient, traditional way of making wine in big clay jars (Kvevri) buried in the earth is on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage lists. Join me and Vades Wine in a unique online wine tasting experience that will takes us back in time but also introduce to us the modern face of Georgian wine making. We will taste three distinctive wines made from Georgian indigenous varieties two of which have been fermented in Kvevri.
The cost is 100 CHF per delivery address (that means that if there are more people with you participating they don’t have to pay extra) and it includes:
* delivery of the 3 wines to your door. — There is no need to open both bottles on the same night but if you decide to open them you can keep them in the fridge for at least a week.
* a fun online wine tasting full of very useful information on how to evaluate wine and an overview of Georgian wine regions,
* wine tasting notes, a wine tasting guide and wine vocabulary,
* food pairing ideas to prepare before the tasting if you want to nibble on something while we drink the wines.
We will do the tasting online through Zoom.
This event is open to everyone in Switzerland. In order to set up timely delivery so that we all have the wines for our online meeting I will need your RSVP until Monday 22th June.
You can make the payment by:
(Thursday) 8:30 pm - 10:00 pm
